It’s a bit cold isn’t it? I’ve got my second wedding of the year next week and it’s currently hard to believe that it’s March, as we’ve had about a foot of snow around Harborne this weekend. I’m currently hibernating inside so I thought I would share a few sneak peeks of this beautiful winter wedding at Pendrell Hall, a stunning country house venue tucked away just outside Wolverhampton.
Winter wedding style
Lauren and Ashley tied the knot amidst gorgeous winter sunshine (hard to believe this was last week!) and planned their day to suit them – relaxed, family-oriented and full of fun. There was even a little bit of Harry Potter thrown in for good measure. Pendrell Hall is one of my favourite local venues, as it has just the right mix of impressive grandeur and a relaxed atmosphere. I absolutely love shooting there! The wedding was perfect from start to finish, and to top it all off we had the most epic golden hour light to shoot their portraits in.
Fun, relaxed wedding vibes
The thing I loved the most about working with Lauren and Ashley was their unwavering sense of fun – these two crack each other up constantly, and they were clearly having a great time all day long (they were the same on their pre wedding shoot!). After dinner, Lauren changed into her amazing sparkly wedding trainers so she was comfy and could have a good dance.
And can we please talk about that cake for a minute? As a massive fan of fondant fancies, I was pretty tempted to smash my face into it but managed to resist. Yet again Daisy and Fred knocked it out of the park with a brilliant offbeat wedding cake, go check out the website if that’s the kind of thing you’re after for your own wedding.
Here are a few of the highlights from Lauren and Ashley’s awesome day; if you’re planning your own winter wedding at Pendrell Hall or anywhere else for that matter, give me a shout and tell me all about it!
