Well it’s been a busy time for me these past couple of weeks! Wedding season is now in full swing which means I’m shooting a lot, but as per usual that means I’ve been pretty crap with blogging things as and when they actually happen. I’ve actually just come back from beautiful Orta San Giulio in Italy shooting Becky and James’ wedding, but I couldn’t not share their gorgeous engagement shoot at Battersea Park from back in April.
Planning an engagement shoot at Battersea Park
Since we didn’t get much blossom this year (boooo), they opted to have their engagement shoot in Battersea Park where there was a ton of the pink stuff. It was gorgeous! I’ve never actually been to Battersea Park before, despite a brief stint as a London tour guide (I feel I should issue a blanket apology at this stage to anyone who had to have me as their guide – think of the type of thing they would do on “The Apprentice” and you’ll not be fair off). It’s a beautiful park, with lots to work with for a photo shoot. We had a really lovely walk around and Becky and James told me all about their Italian wedding plans. They were able to include their beautiful black lab Bella as well, she’s adorable!
The weather was gorgeous, which was a miracle given how it had been misbehaving, and we even got a beautiful golden hour for some romantic shots at the end of the shoot. I’ve absolutely loved working with these two – they’re so fun loving and natural with each other – no wonder after 11 years together! I can’t wait to share their wedding, but for now, here are some favourites from the engagement shoot.
